Role Synopsis

Responsible for managing the Proserv India engineering project deliverables making sure all project commitments are delivered on time, with high level of accuracy, quality and within budgets. Manage all interfaces to internal customers ensuring robust planning, forecast and execution. Deputies for the Engineering Manager as required.

 

Key Accountabilities (includes, but not limited to the following)

  • Review the contract documents and scope of work for engineering deliverables
  • Manage the projects assigned effectively for timely completion and within the budget.
  • Highlight and mitigate the area of concerns on cost, time, and scope constraints on the assigned projects.
  • Overall understanding of the project technical scope and key technical focal point for the project
  • Liaise with the Proposals Team to ensure accurate estimate for engineering hours during tendering
  • Prepare and develop the engineering deliverables in coordination with Mechanical Design, CAD and E&I Discipline Engineering Lead Engineers in a timely manner
  • Monitor and guide detailed engineering activities within the department for satisfactory results. Ensure the complete package is in line with project specifications and technical codes as per industry standards/Good Engineering practices
  • Lead the project for the timely submission of all engineering deliverables including drawings, datasheets and bill of materials as per the project schedule and SDRL compliance
  • Develop and maintain the project schedules for the assigned projects in co-ordination with Engineering Planner.
  • Ensure effective intracompany departmental co-ordination and communication.
  • Communicate and provide all the necessary information to stake holders for attending/completing the various requirements on the assigned projects.
  • Co-ordinate and interact with the project engineer to ensure timely completion of the engineering activities.
  • Responsible for the execution of projects in accordance with contract requirement
  • Liaising with clients and sub-contractors on project related matters where necessary
  • Regular monitoring and reporting progress of projects to Engineering Manager.
  • Ensure quality, safety and compliance to statutory and all regulatory requirements
  • Ensure project related non-conformances are identified, controlled and corrected in compliance with Proserv procedures.
  • Detailed Engineering of complex well head control systems, traditional and multi-point chemical injection systems and related equipment
  • Overall understanding of the project technical scope and key technical focal point for the project
  • Lead the projects for the timely submission of all engineering deliverables including drawings, datasheets and bill of materials as per the project schedule and SDRL compliance
  • Responsible for Engineering deliverables in coordination with Mechanical Design, CAD and E&I Discipline Engineers in a timely manner

  • Responsible for Engineering deliverables consistency and quality of Engineering outputs
  • Manage the Engineering budgets for hours for the detailed engineering and highlight any variations if anticipated in advance.
  • Responsible for addressing all technical deviations and additional work due to scope change for variation order through change management procedure
  • Understanding the Company QMS (quality management system), and ensure necessary implementation in all projects
  • Prepare and implement the quality plan and the subsequent QA/QC procedures
  • Review (continuous) of the quality management system and make adjustments as required
  • Review of contract(s) to identify any special quality requirements and advise appropriate departments
  • Conduct internal audits, peer reviews and follow-up with proper documentation and corrective actions
  • Recording, filing and archiving of all QA records
  • Statistical interpretation of QA records
  • Strive for continuous improvement of the implemented Quality Management System.

Qualifications

 

Education

Preferred

  • University degree in the field of finance and/or financial management
  • CIMA or ACCA qualification preferred. Part-qualification required

 

Experience/Skills

Education

 Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering with minimum 5 years’ experience in projects

Experience

Essential

  • 5 years working experience in Engineering/Manufacturing firm
  • 3 to 4 years as a Project Manager in a relevant work environment
  • Skilled in Microsoft Project
  • Stake holder management and commercial acumen
  • Excellent communication skills, competent in English language, written and verbal
  • Proven project management skills
  • Ability to lead and influence people to achieve project and Proserv India goals

Preferred

  • Experience of working with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
